MA Delegation Digest 11/15 – 11/28/14

Both the House and Senate voted on whether to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline. All of the Massachusetts Delegation voted no except Jim McGovern, who did not cast a vote.

Rep. Stephen Lynch

  • Lynch introduced H.R. 5721, the Overseas Security Personnel Fairness Act which would remove a penalty that prohibits the families of overseas federal contractors who are killed in the line of duty from receiving full death benefits.

Rep. William Keating

  • Keating introduced the STOPP (Stop Tampering of Prescription Pharmaceuticals) Bill, which would require pharmaceutical companies to ensure opioid pain-killers cannot be crushed or melted, something that is frequently associated to abuse of those prescription drugs.
